20 Percent Project Week 4

I completed the two granny squares this week. I set myself a new goal for the week, and that is to complete three new granny squares that are white for this project. The reason why I need two different colors is because of my bag. Nothing this past week I struggled with; everything was good. Something that I am looking forward to is making the handle for this bag, which consists of white straps with pink swirls around it. The pink swirls are a great addition to the bag. It adds color and style to the overall design of the bag. I would like to think about maybe adding different colors but that could possibly be for the next one. To sum it all up, this bag is one of my favorite designs, to the point that I would wear it. I want to thank miss Moffat for inspiring me to design this bag.

20 Percent Project Week Three

For week three I’ve completed two more granny squares. Which was not my goal from last week, but I did get really close, my goal from last week was too complete at least 3 granny squares. Unfortunately, I did not reach my goal. But I’m right now on my third one and its halfway done. My goal for next week is hopefully I will have two more granny squares so I can be moving on to my next goal which is eight white granny squares. Something I am struggling with would be finishing up the granny square. The ending is quite hard for me and I do have to watch on repeat the same steps. What I do if I mess up is that I start all the way at one of the lines and then go on by doing it again but this time watching the video more carefully. If I do end up finishing the pink granny squares I will be moving on to my white granny squares which then to the handle of the bag.

20 Percent Week Two

Hi Azzy again, second week of doing crocheting and here is what I’ve accomplished, the first thing I did was practice the stich correctly, after a few attempts I got the stich correct. Later on, I moved on to do a crochet called granny squares. For this project I need eight granny squares of one particular color and eight more of another one. Something I really struggled with was doing the correct stitching and if it went into the right stich. Since it was my first-time doing crocheting, I didn’t really understand the way to do it. But after watching some videos on YouTube, how to do a granny square I finally understood the subject. I figured what I was doing wrong was making one crocheting stich Instead of two that was my mistake but fixed it. This week I did a total of three granny squares. For next week I will wish to have accomplished at least six granny squares, for this project I’m doing.

Gary The Platypus

Gary the platypus, a very awesome platypus who roamed the city of platypuses. Gary the platypus was on a mission to save the old lady’s cat butters that was stuck on top of an abandoned tower meowing near the casement. Gary the platypus specialty was saving cats. Any kind rich, poor, any kind that’s how Gary the platypus reformed the city. By saving cats.

20 Percent Project Week One

Hi my name is Azzy and for the 20 percent project I chose to do crocheting. For this week my goal was to figure out what I would be crocheting and chose to be doing a crocheting bag. I learned what supplies through YouTube and also learned how to make the bag I will be making, by a video on YouTube as well and by looking at pictures on the bag to figure out which stich I would be needing. How I would be remembering on how to do different stiches would be doing the same hand movements throughout the day, I would also watch the same video to help me remember. I did have trouble choosing the crocheting I would be doing and finding the supplies I would need as well. By next week I wish to have accomplished at least eight squares that are called “Granny squares” that would be part of the bag I would be crocheting.

The Best Dinner.

There are so many people that I can think of that I would invite to dinner but these are my top three people. My number one would be Batman, he is a fictional superhero who saves his city from bad guys. I would have dinner with him to just know what being a superhero is like. The second person I would talk to would be Jeff Bezos the richest man on earth right now, reasons why I would talk to him would be because I would like to know what his ways are for him to be that rich and what he had to face to be the man he is today. My final person I would have dinner with would be God, I would have dinner with him just because meeting him would be amazing and I would ask him about life and all the questions I’ll have.

Rad Reading February

In this month I read the book “Girl In Pieces” By Kathleen Glasgow. This book talks about a girl named Charlie but real name is Charlotte Davis, Charlotte only being seventeen years old. Went to a hospital for problems of her own after a few weeks she finally got out. Charlotte having a bad relationship with her mother, father not in the picture, and only a couple of friends. She decided to run away to a small apartment her friend had away from her town home.

I liked this book, but some people might also not like it because this book is a very depressing book. It does talk about some serious issues that people also deal with in real life as well. I liked it although it was sad it was also a pretty good book.

My favorite character from girl in pieces has to be Casper because she was always the one who gave Charlie a mother figure page 77 “Today I’m excited to meet with Casper. I want to tell her about crafts, and what I drew and what I’m drawing means to me.” I feel like this quote really shows what Charlie thinks of Casper as an older sister, or even a mother. Which is super important as she has a really bad relationship with her biological mother. Thats why Casper is my favorite character.

My favorite quote from this book is “The sea shakes. The voices get farther and farther away and then there is nothing for a long time. Then the sea shakes again, and something grabs my leg.” page 344. I like this quote because it shows that not everything is peaceful all the time. When you might be all settled in you can also get attacked, I feel that’s what the author was meaning.

My Dream Job

My Dream Job if money never mattered in this society would be to own a cafe. A little cafe with plants everywhere and a flower section there too so people could come in and buy their coffee and beautiful flowers as well. A reason of why it’s my dream job is because it would be so peaceful. Another reason why this would be my dream job is because of the flowers, seeing beautiful flowers everyday would be an amazing job. The final reason is that I would be able to make myself coffee at any point of day. After a long exhausting day of working in the cafe.

Invisibility

The possibilities are endless when you are invisible for twenty-four hours! I’m invisible and I could do anything I want to do without being bothered. First, I would rob a bank, but not a normal bank. A elite bank with billions of dollars. I would steal from this bank while being invisible because I would get a lot of money and buy a house and my dream car and with the extra money ill buy food for the homeless and for stray animals. What I would do next is scare my friends by turning off lights and mess with them, so they get freaked out. I would do this because it will be funny and never know it’s me. The last thing I would do sneak into places where you have to pay to get in like a concert. I would do this because concert tickets are very expensive so I would enjoy the show for free.

Deserted Island

Life on my abandoned island is stressful. First i wake up and mark a line on a rock to see how many days I’ve spend here. Today marks 578 days of being stuck in this island. I made some friends though out this time I’ve been stuck here. We have Larry the lizard and Bobby the monkey. They serve very good company, and I’m happy to have them around. Some days can be stressful because of the weather, but I learned how to protect myself by making and house made of wood that I’ve cut down. Mostly all the time life is good here I’m discovering new things every day. Yes, sometimes I do miss my home and family, but I know one day I’ll be brave enough to go back if could.
